More information of what to see and do in Formentera.

Ibiza and Formentera were the home of many hippie communities in the 1960s, which discovered the beauty of the surroundings and the special light. It was the ideal place to live their ideal. One of the slogans was Flower Power, as a hanger of a free way of life, far from conventions and prejudices. The term continued to live in the form of lively and colorful festivals, reminiscent of those explosive and liberal moments of the 1960s, which in their chants evoke the world of artists like Bob Dylan or Pink Floyd.

Formentera brings these moments back to life every summer in the Flower Power Festivities, the colorful lights, the colorful clothes, the DJs and the best music of the 60s, 70s and 80s so that you can experience your wildest night on the island. The first of these summer festivals takes place on the main square of La Mola at the end of June. The other two are celebrated in July, one on the main square of Sant Francesc and the other on the Es Pujols beach. This last is a very special festival, because it takes place on the beach, with the bare feet on the sand and the moonlight on the sea.

At all these festivities you will find a good ambience, fun and the true flower power style, with wigs, necklaces and colored clothes to experience a very different night. Would you like to try it out?
