The unspoiled beach of your dreams!
The beautiful Cala en Turqueta beach is located between the Puntas Es Tambors and Na Foradada; its name recalls the feared - and often repeated - attacks by Turkish pirates in the past.
The beach is at the end of a deep arm of the sea of 400 meters and from its shore you can see a truly Mediterranean landscape: a beach of fine white sand, surrounded by cliff tops covered by ancient pine forests. It is an enclave of high ecological value, which is part of the Costa Sur de Ciutadella protected area. The beach has a buoyed area for water sports and anchoring small boats, but it does not provide any services. Do not forget to take something to drink and eat. A low rock barrier divides the beach - about 100 meters long - in two halves. If you walk to the rocky sides of the beach, you will find sandy sections where you can bathe your bath towel and swim in the most transparent water you can imagine. It has turquoise blue tones and little waves.
To reach the beach on the road from Ciutadella (16.5 km), you must follow the road signs. You can park your car in a car park at a distance of 850 meters from the beach. In the summer, it is advisable to come early, because when the car park is fully occupied, the access road for further cars is blocked.
