Cove Pregonda

The main attraction of Cala Pregonda is that it is the 'other' beach of the island. Its sand is red and forms a great contrast with the turquoise water, forming a unique landscape. So it is not surprising that the musician Mike Oldfield chose this bay twice as a motif for a record cover. 

The easiest way to reach Cala Pregonda is aboard a ship, but you can also reach the bay by car or on foot. If you are coming by car, follow the road from Es Mercadal to Fornells and take the turnoff to Cavallería beach. Then follow the signs to Binimel•la and park your car in the parking lot. From here you have to walk about 30 minutes. We advise to wear comfortable footwear, avoid the central hours of the day and drink enough. Once at the bay you will enjoy the best reward.
