A journey through the ages
Majorca is an archaeological treasure that offers an immersion into the cultures that have inhabited the island since prehistoric times. One of the most comprehensive is the Sencelles-Costitx archaeological tour, an itinerary that takes you to sites such as the Cova del Bisbe, a funerary cave dating from 1000-1500 BC, or the Talayot de Son Fred, a monumental Talayotic construction dating from 950 BC. Other important stops include the sanctuary of Son Corró and the village of den Turassot.
The settlement of Capocorb Vell, in Llucmajor, with more than 600 m² of Talayotic structures, and Son Fornés in Montuiri, the best-documented Talayotic settlement in Majorca, also stand out.
