Cove Caló des Mort

Caló des Mort is a bathing area in the south of Formentera; it is located between the Migjorn and Es Ram beaches, near the Urbanización Maryland.

An impressive natural setting with a beach of sand and rocks, and a beach 100 meters long, surrounded by low cliffs overlooking the bulk of the island´s south coast. To the left can see old fishing sheds or escars where the fishermen keep their boats and equipment, because the beach is one of the few shelters for boats on this coastal section. It is a wonderful enclave where you can enjoy nudist swimming; at the sides of the beach you will find solitary places to spread your bath towel. The beach does not provide any services. Do not forget to take with you something to eat and drink.

To reach the beach from La Savina (14.2 km), follow the road signs towards Pilar de la Mola. Once you have left Es Caló de Sant Agustí behind you, you will find the turnoff to the Caló des Mort beach on the right. You can park your car near the hotel. Here begins an 800 meter long path, which ends on the beach. You will need appropriate shoes for this short walk. You can also park your car next to Es Copinyar beach and reach the Caló des Mort beach on the coast (5 minutes).
