Explore the latest trends in international contemporary art in a 19th century mansion in the centre of Palma
The Horrach Moyà Gallery in Majorca was founded right at the turn of the millennium, in the year 2000. It was designed with a clear concept in mind: to offer a selection of contemporary art based on the exchange of ideas, concepts and expression between creators with diverse artistic backgrounds and cultural origins.
It has two exhibition spaces located in the heart of Palma de Mallorca, providing an international artistic programme. The Horrach Moyà Sadrassana gallery was inaugurated in 2013 with an exhibition by Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos. It is located in a 19th century Majorcan mansion in Palma's emblematic Plaça de la Drassana square, just a 10 minute walk from its older sister, the Horrach Moyà Catalunya gallery.
Here you can find works made using different techniques, expressing new artistic languages. Visitors can admire photographic exhibitions, videos, performances, installations, photography, sculptures, paintings and engravings by artists such as Lidia Abdul, Marina Abramovic, Vasco Araújo, David Brooks and Joana Vasconcelos, among many others.
The Horrach Moyà Gallery participates in significant Spanish and international art fairs such as ARCO, Hong Kong International Art Fair, Art Basel, Abu Dhabi Art Fair, Pulse, Art Brussels and LOOP Barcelona.
This gallery stays up later than the gallery on Calle Catalunya. Opening hours are Tuesday to Sunday, 6.30 pm to 1.00 am.
