Cove Deià

It is one of the best known beaches on Mallorca: a beach and stones and coarse sand in an idyllic, truly Mediterranean environment, which is enhanced by the small rocky islands, which emerge from the transparent sea and the fishing shed - escars - with their ramps.

The fishermen keep their boats and equipment in these sheds. The beach is located between the Punta de Son Beltran and Sa Pedrissa, where there is still a shelter. You can reach this tower on a 20 minute walk along the coast. To your back rises the enigmatic Es Teix summit (1,064 meters) and in front of you, you can see a beautiful bay, surrounded by mid-high cliffs crowned by pines and bushes. The rocky and sandy seas invite you to put on your diving glasses to enjoy life under water. The beach is visited in summer by many guests. In the high season many VIPs visit this area and anchor their luxury yachts off the coast. The shore - 70 meters long and 6 meters wide - offers no services, but there are excellent fish and crustacean restaurants.

To reach the beach from Sóller (13.9 km) or Valldemossa (13.5 km), follow the road signs to Deià. In this place the access road to the beach is well signposted. You can also reach the beach on foot on a pleasant walk of 1.5 km from Deià.
