In the past, the farmers harvested this sea grass to fertilize their fields and to bed their cattle. The rocky soils of the beach, with sandy sections, are ideal for diving. Do not forget your diving glasses! S'Algar is the first bay to the left of the Portocolom port; It is popular with fishermen and locals who appreciate their calmness and transparent water. The beach does not provide services; so do not forget something to drink and eat. 

To reach the beach from Felanitx (14.3 km) or Manacor (25.4 km), follow the signs to Portocolom. The access to the beach is well signposted. You can park your car near the beach.
