Cultural space
The train station was opened in 1921 when the last stretch (Son Servera – Artà) of the railway line linking Palma to Manacor and Artà was launched.
The central building, as well as the remaining quarters making up the former station, have all the architectural features common to the railway stations of their day. The station was built during the second half of the 19th century by the Mallorcan Railway Company. This line was eliminated in 1977. The building currently houses a municipal exhibition hall just outside the town.
