Gastronomic market Mercat de Pollença

On Sundays mornings, the historic center of Pollença (in the north of Mallorca) hosts a lively weekly market with more than 300 stalls.

For decades, Pollença has had a meeting every Sunday on its market. It is located in the oldest quarter of the city center, on Plaça Major and Plaça de Ca les Monnares squares, from 08:00 - 13:30

The market stands out because of the large number of its stalls: a total of 300 stands. Among them, you will find agricultural products (many of them ecological), shoes, clothes, plants.... In addition, there are craft products and all kinds of typical products from Mallorca.

A visit to the market of Pollença is a good opportunity to take a walk through the picturesque center of the village, the renovated 18th century parish church dedicated to the Virgin Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles, the Santo Domingo Monastery, the Joan March Gardens or the El Calvario Chapel. To this chapel you can reach over 365 steps and from there you can enjoy a wonderful view of Pollença.

Other villages of the municipality also celebrate weekly markets. Port de Pollença has been celebrating its market for more than thirty years on Wednesday mornings. It is very well attended especially during the summer. Port de Pollença also holds a night market on one or several days depending on the season.
