The Isla del Toro Marine Reserve, located in the municipality of Calvià, is the ideal place for lovers of diving and snorkelling. It was created in 2004, and since then, the concentration of species in the area has quadrupled and populations of the most vulnerable species, such as the grouper and sea bass, have recovered. 

The reserve includes the coastal area between Clot des Moro and Cala Refeubetx cove, Isla del Toro, Isla del Toretó, Ses Barbines and Es Pans. 

Although it's one of the smallest marine reserves in the archipelago, its high biodiversity and ecological value are well known and appreciated by diving enthusiasts. Large meadows of posidonia cover the sand, and the rocky areas of the seabed protect a range of species. 

The special location of this marine reserve and the beauty of its underwater landscapes make it an exceptional spot for diving, photography and even underwater filming. In addition to the sedentary species typical of the Mediterranean, numerous migratory species can be spotted here, such as tuna, barracuda, dentex and even some large rays.
