Llorenç Villalonga Pons (Palma, 1897-1980) is one of the most important Majorcan writers of the 20th century, who authored a vast body of literary and journalistic writings. This cultural centre, in the Can Sabater house, was his home during the summer months and during the Spanish Civil War.

The house is presented exactly like it was during the author’s lifetime, with exhibitions about his life and works. The items form the Llorenç Villalonga library, the Llorenç Villalonga Document Archive, the collection of the museum house and the Documentation Centre for Modern Literature. It holds different cultural activities related to modern Majorcan literature.
