Museum Cosme Bauçà

Better known as the Foundation Cosme Bauçà, the museum is located in a beautiful building in Felanitx. The distinguished Cosme Bauçà founded it in 1962.

Currently it houses the town’s Ethnographical Museum, which has an interesting library specialised in the subjects of Mallorca and Felanitx. Its years of splendour were between 1969 and 1980, but now it only opens on the Day of Saint Augustine for visits and bibliographic consultation. The museum has managed to collect a large number of devices and tools related to many types of job, freely donated by the people of the county. In 1971, the museum received a collection of marbles of enormous value donated by Mr Nicolau Nicolau. In 2000, Mr Andreu Vidal Febrer donated a cabinet of prehistoric objects to the Foundation.
