Museum Martí Vicenç

The museum not only constitutes a permanent homage to Martí Vicenç but also offers the general public the chance to view certain currently unknown works.

The museum also contains a small etiological display of objects related to the family weaving trade, including a collection of clothes, some classic and others, which are the author’s originals. It is full of symbolic objects, which represent the multifaceted life of the artist, objects such as a barber’s chair, some oars and other curious objects. Martí Vicenç’s different creative periods are well reflected in this small museum, even if it is not possible to display all the works that the family owns, for lack of space.

The museum is divided into a ground floor and basement. The ground floor space is divided between the old Mallorcan kitchen and one of the most emblematic spaces in the museum, the weaving room. The basement is split into three spaces reserved for sculpture, painting and textiles, as well as a further space reserved for temporary exhibitions. The museum’s maximum capacity is 89 people.
