Sailing Club Santa Ponça

The Santa Ponça Yacht Club is regarded as a recreational port with a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. It always seeks quality in its facilities and services, along with respectful integration with the environment around it. It is located just 25 km from the Palma de Mallorca airport. The port was built in 1975, taking advantage of the natural cove called La Caleta, whose history dates back more than 2,000 years as a natural trade port with the town, today the archaeological remains of de sa Morisca peak. On the 11th of September 1229, King James I the Conqueror chose this site to disembark and start his conquest of Mallorca. This deed is recalled with a commemorative cross that presides over the port opening, which can be seen all over the bay, making it truly unique. As soon as you enter the port, the fuelling station is on your starboard side, and you will find a stretch of sea that is protected and delimited by landscaped areas. It can fit up to 522 vessels from 7 to 22 metres long. The design of the port, where nature is combined with the minimum structure needed, enables us to provide painstaking services to our users with the utmost security and with all the means of a modern port with environmental quality certificates, such as the gold seal for the technical safety of the facilities; environmental, health and hygiene requirements; and quality of services from Lloyd's Register, along with the ISO 14001 granted by Bureau Veritas and the “Q” for quality awarded by the Regional Tourism Ministry of the government of the Balearic Islands.
