Oil tasting

Minorca offers a unique experience for oil lovers. Since the 2nd century BC, the island has perfected the production of olive oil. In fact, Minorcan olive oil will have the first Protected Geographical Indication for organic olive oil in Europe in 2024.  

Minorca has 22 olive oil producers, and some of them offer guided tours to explore olive oil mills, from the most traditional to the most modern. In fact, Minorca is the only island where olive oil is produced from wild olive trees, a product that is very exclusive and difficult to obtain. In addition, some of the farms offer tastings in a unique picturesque and natural setting, such as the Minorca Biosphere Reserve.
