Enjoy canyoning

If you love adventure sports, you will find the perfect place for canyoning in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains. Mallorca´s canyon par excellence is the Torrent de Pareis, declared Natural Heritage in 2003. One of the most exciting routes, requiring a good condition and a good knowledge of the area. It is advisable to enter this canyon only accompanied by a professional guide. 

Another ravine - the Gorg des Diners - requires a good Abseil-technique. The gorge connects the north face of the Puig Major with Cala Tuent. Other classics are the Torrent de Na Mora, between the Bàlitx and Moncaire mountains; the Torrent de Biniaraix, in the gorge of the same name, or Torrent de Mortitx between Pollença and Lluc. 

The unique atmosphere of the Torrent de sa Fosca must also be mentioned; it is the extension of the Torrent des Gorg Blau (Escorca) gorge, which opens into s'Entreforc (Torrent de Pareis), only to be visited by very well prepared athletes, because the ravine leads a lot of water, has long descents and stretch wise total darkness.

On all these routes you can enjoy the typical vegetation and animals of the Gorges. Watch and respect the fauna and the flora.
