The es Vedrà und es Vedranell and the rocky islands of Poniente Nature Reserve Is one of the largest and most attractive nature reserves on Ibiza. It is located in the island´s west and southwest, in the municipality Sant Josep de sa Talaia, surrounded by unspoiled beaches, cliffs and a horizon of rocky islands that make this place unique and special.

The rocky islands are always exposed to the sea and the wind, and have no soil. Despite these difficult conditions many species survive here.

The rises in this part of the island are part of their strengths. Due to their high ecological value some of the land cannot be visited. Here is the highest point of the island, Sa Talaia, which surpasses the rest of the mountains with its 485 meters.

The only access to these rocky islands is across the sea. For this you need a boat and the relevant permits.
