DAY OF OUR LADY OF THE PILLAR OF LA MOLA IN FORMENTERA

If you are in Formentera on 12 October, you cannot miss the Our Lady of the Pillar festivities in La Mola.

The celebrations are held in the town of La Mola and begin with a mass in honour of its patron saint, the Our Lady of the Pillar. Once the ceremony is over, the parishioners of La Mola take all the saints of the parish in procession, led by the image of the Virgin, through the streets of the town centre. 

The celebration continues with the traditional peasant dances and the people gathered sharing typical liquors, orelletes and other typical delicacies of the island. 

Take the opportunity to attend these festivities and get to know one of the most charming villages on the island.

BIRD WATCHING AT THE ESTANY PUDENT LAGOON

The Estany Pudent lagoon is the best place for bird watching, so if you are a bird enthusiast you cannot miss it. 

Its waters are home to the greatest biodiversity of migratory birds in the Balearic Islands and it is great for seeing birds that are migrating between Africa and northern Europe.
